Dog Heaven
Written with Love,
by Pam
He gives them fields and fields and fields.
When a dog first arrives in Heaven, he just runs.
Dog Heaven has a clear, wide lake with geese that
The dogs love this.
They run beside the water and bark and bark and God watches them from behind a tree
God has a sense of humor,
so he makes his biscuits in funny shapes for his dogs.
Every angel who passes by has a biscuit for a dog.
Every dog becomes a good dog in Dog Heaven. God turns the clouds inside out to make fluffy beds
and when they are tired from running and barking and eating a ham sandwich and biscuits, the dogs each
Dogs in Dog Heaven have almost always belonged to somebody on Earth and, of course,
Heaven is full of memories,
so sometimes an angel
will walk a dog back to Earth
for a little visit and quietly, invisibly,
the dog will sniff about his old backyard,
will investigate the cat next door,
will follow the child to school,
will sit on the front porch and wait for the mail.
the dog will return to Heaven with the angel.
The dogs in Dog Heaven who had
The homes have yards and porches and
there are couches to lie on and tables to sit under
There are special bowls with the dog’s names on them.
Each dog is petted and reminded how good he is,
how much he is loved and was loved.
Dogs in Dog Heaven may stay as
long as they like and this can mean forever.
They will be there at the door…Angel Dogs…
Till we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge
Sweet Rose, play hard, eat lots of biscuits and
rest on God’s cloud pillows.

Chyloe

One year after we got Angel, Chyloe was with me at work, as he went quite often. I was always telling him that he was going to eat something one of these days that wouldn’t be good for him and he did. When we would go to the lake I thought I should get him a job with the state DNR because he was always racing to eat the trash people would throw out on the grass. Well anyway, at work I was getting ready to move into a new building and I had been boxing up the craft department for days and he was with me. He got sick. We did everything and saw many Vets in a weeks time and finally they did exploratory surgery and found he had eaten a piece of embroidery floss. He lived through the surgery but the next day at age 4, he died of the complications. I was devastated as he went every where with me and Angel Marie. We mourned him for weeks and miss him so very much even today. He was a wonderful dog and a loving, loving companion.
